I recently discovered that "The General's daughter" was available on netflix.  The film was made in 1999 and stars John Travolta and Madeleine Stowe.  The dark film revolves around a murder taken place on an army base.  The two warrant officers Paul (John Travolta) and Sara (Madeleine Stowe) are given an allotted time to solve the crime of 36hrs.  As the details of the crime unfold a dark secret unravels with the help of their determined ways to figure out what occurred.

I found this film comforting, reminding me of the old 90's movie era where they created a lot of detective films.  If you enjoy a good mystery mixed with a well thought out plot, then you will enjoy this film.  It contains mature language, violence and nudity.
