A 2011 animated film featuring Johnny Depp as the lead role.  The main character is a lost pet lizard who becomes stranded in the desert.  In his quest to find water he stumbles across another lizard who is unique and quirky.  She give him a lift to the nearest town where he becomes the Sheriff of the town with little effort.  With the water in the bank disappearing, Rango the town's Sheriff leads a search for the missing water and uncovers a scam to control the desert water.



                                                          

A very thoughtful and ironic film of our day.  The use of water as a mean of monetary use is brilliant.  The western accents Johnny Depp uses in his leading voice role as Rango is hysterical.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  Children and adults both adore this film and I have watched this movie several times.  A wonderful animated experience for the entire family.
